Verified flybridge, sport, trawler and superyacht motor yachts from vetted brokers across Spain, France, Italy, Croatia and Greece — Sunseeker, Princess, Azimut, Ferretti, Pershing and more. Every listing verified, every broker vetted, no lead-generation pay-walls.
Italy and the French Riviera hold the deepest motor yacht inventory, driven by Italian builder turnover and the Monaco-Antibes brokerage trade. Spain leads on British marques. The map below reflects current verified inventory across our broker network.
The Mediterranean motor yacht market is the most active in the world. Italian yards — Azimut, Ferretti, Pershing, Sanlorenzo — supply the bulk of new and near-new inventory in the 50-foot to 45-metre planing and semi-displacement segment, and that stock surfaces first in Italy and the South of France. British builders Sunseeker and Princess hold the strongest 50 to 95-foot owner-operated following, with deep supply in Spain and the Riviera. Above 24 metres, the market transitions to crewed superyachts traded through specialist brokers.
For buyers, the decisive variables are engine hours and service history, refit recency, and VAT and flag status. A motor yacht with low, well-documented hours and a clean VAT trail commands a premium and sells quickly. Conversely, missing service records or an unclear VAT position is the most common reason a motor yacht listing stalls — and the strongest lever a buyer has on price.
Match the hull to your use. Planing yachts deliver speed for short Mediterranean hops but burn fuel heavily; displacement and semi-displacement yachts cruise efficiently with better range and sea-keeping. Our running-cost guide sets out the realistic annual budget for each.

Indicative Mediterranean ranges for 2026. Pricing varies widely with age, builder, engine hours and refit history.
For running costs and tax, see cost of owning a yacht and our VAT guide.
40 to 55 feet, owner-driven. Best targets: Princess V/F-class, Sunseeker Manhattan, Azimut Atlantis. Budget €150k to €700k. Prioritise low engine hours and recent electronics.
55 to 75 feet with crew cabin. Best targets: Sunseeker, Princess F, Ferretti, Azimut Grande. Budget €600k to €2.5M. Focus on cabin count, generator and stabilisers.
Displacement trawler or expedition yacht. Range and efficiency over speed. Budget €400k to €3M depending on size and build. Verify tankage, range and sea-keeping pedigree.
24 metres and above. Best targets: Benetti, Sanlorenzo SL, Heesen, Amels. Budget €3M+. Verify class, crew quarters and refit recency.
Used motor yachts of 40 to 50 feet range from roughly €150k to €600k in the Mediterranean. The 50 to 70-foot flybridge segment spans €400k to €2M, and 70 to 100 feet runs €1.5M to €8M. Above 100 feet, pricing is bespoke. Brand pedigree, engine hours and refit history are the largest variables within each band.
Motor yachts cost more per nautical mile because of fuel, but offer speed, interior volume and simpler handling. A planing motor yacht consumes far more fuel at cruising speed than a displacement trawler of the same length. Sailing yachts have lower running costs and longer range under sail. For short Mediterranean hops and marina-based use, motor yachts dominate; for long-range fuel-efficient cruising, displacement motor yachts or sailing yachts are stronger.
Planing hulls deliver high speed but burn fuel heavily and ride less comfortably in a sea. Semi-displacement hulls balance speed and efficiency, common on 50 to 80-foot flybridge yachts. Displacement hulls cruise slowly but efficiently with long range and excellent sea-keeping. Match the hull to your use: planing for short fast trips, displacement for distance and comfort.
British builders Sunseeker and Princess lead the 50 to 95-foot owner-operated market with strong resale. Italian yards Azimut, Ferretti, Pershing and Sanlorenzo dominate the planing and semi-displacement segment. Fairline and Riviera serve the value end. For displacement long-range yachts, look at trawler builders and, above 30 metres, the custom superyacht yards.
Engine hours and full service history are the single most important factors. Budget a full survey including oil analysis and a sea trial under load. Check generator hours, stabiliser service, bow-thruster condition, and the age of electronics and air-conditioning. Confirm VAT-paid status and flag. On planing yachts, inspect running gear, shafts and trim tabs; on flybridge yachts, check for water ingress around hatches and the hardtop.
The French Riviera and Italy hold the deepest inventory, driven by Italian builder turnover and the Monaco-Antibes brokerage trade. Spain is strong on Sunseeker and Princess inventory. Croatia and Greece carry growing, often charter-managed stock. Flag, VAT status and engine-service history matter more than location to final value.
